The Friendship 28 comes from 1977 built by Meijer in Balk. Because of its shallow draft of 1.20 mtr, the Friendship is very suitable for the Frisian Lakes and Randmeren. There is an autoprop underneath which gives her less resistance while sailing and therefore she sails faster. The Friendship sails close to the wind and reaches speeds of 6 to 6.5 knots. But even with little wind she easily makes speed.
With the solar panel there is a possibility to sail 5 days self-sufficient.
The engine has major maintenance at the end of 2025 at Tim Watersport in Joure.
