The Enkhuizen 640 was designed in-house. Its sailing characteristics are similar to those of the much vaunted tenders: extremely stable, fast sailing and exceptionally easy to maneuver. Thanks to its sophisticated underwater hull, the Enkhuizen 640 requires relatively little engine power to develop a respectable speed. At high speed, the sloop remains comfortable and steady on course. Because of its shallow draft, slender shape and excellent maneuverability, the 640 can be piloted through even the smallest ditches. Because big water is beautiful, but Holland has so many other beautiful sailing areas.
